According to a report by Ambient Insight, the worldwide market for Self-paced eLearning products and services reached $32.1 billion in 2010.Nearly 50 percent of US online consumers are now advanced users of smartphones, social networks, and other emerging tools—up from 32 percent in 2008. This leads to a growing increase in the need and acceptance of online learning in a variety of industries.

In the e-learningspace no single company has more than 4% ofmarket share, and the top ten have a combined share of only 13.1%. This fragmented competitive landscape indicates that the e-learning the space is ripe for innovative solutions by new market entrants. So what are the missing pieces? The e-learning ecosystem is complete with mature LMS & LCMS providers, teachers, students, tutors and key stakeholders in both the educational and corporate training marktets.
